Your data, and how to reach us about it
You do not need an account, or a working password, to exercise any of the rights on this page.
If you can sign in
The fastest route is the controls on your own account. You can hide your profile without deleting anything, or ask us to erase your data outright, and both are on one screen with the differences spelled out.
If you cannot sign in, or you are not the account holder
Write to us. You do not need an account, and you do not have to give a reason.
This is the route for anyone locked out of their account, anyone acting for someone who has died, and any supervisory authority forwarding a complaint.
We answer within one month of receiving your request. That is the deadline Article 12(3) sets, and it runs from the day your request reaches us, not from the day we begin work on it.
We have not published a contact address yet. That is our failing, not a limit on your rights.
Any request you have already sent us by any route counts from the day it arrived, and we are treating it that way.
It is what you asked for that counts, not how you asked
However you tell us — an email, a letter, a support message, a sentence in a form — if you ask us to erase your data we treat it as a request under Article 17 from the day we received it. You do not need to use a particular word, a particular button, or a particular address.
What we keep even after an erasure, and why
- Work you co-authored with other people stays on Kidado, credited to a deleted user. It is not yours alone to remove.
- Our record that the erasure happened. It contains no personal data about you, and it is the only way we can show we did what you asked.
